End-of-Line for the Folding Carton Industry

GPI - Graphic Packaging International, with 100 locations and more than 23,000 employees, is investing in end-of-line solution from SOCO SYSTEM.

At the Hanover site, high-quality folding cartons are produced, for example, for the cosmetics industry. The production lines operate in multiple shifts, and a large volume of packaging must be handled.

SOCO SYSTEM was commissioned to automate the carton handling process, all the way to the finished pallet.

Standard modules with fixed specifications were used, including carton erector, conveyor technology, carton sealer, and palletizing robot.

Erected and bottom-glued cartons are fed to the BOBST Cartonpack, which then fills the shipping cartons fully automatically.

The lid flaps are then folded and sealed with adhesive tape.

A proven and compact SOCO SYSTEM palletizing solution with automatic pallet change and a pallet magazine for 14 pallets stacks the finished cartons onto the pallet and automatically places layer pads.

The system, manufactured by SOCO SYSTEM, was fully assembled and tested at the factory before delivery, ensuring a quick and smooth commissioning process.
